TPO Roof System

Single ply membranes are broadly classified into thermoset and thermoplastic. This system is suitable for both newly-constructed and refurbished buildings. Common reinforcement processes for single ply roofing systems include polyester fabrics, glass fiber, or fleece backing.

Single-ply roofing membranes are easy to install and they are a cost-effective roofing option. This roofing system provides consistent quality and minimizes the risks that are involved in the built-up systems. On many occasions, a combination of fastening methods such as fully adhered, ballasted and mechanical fastening are used to secure a single ply membrane roofing system.

The three most popular types of single ply are Thermo Plastic Olefin (TPO), Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM), and Poly Vinyl Carbonate (PVC) Roofing Systems. With one layer over the roofing insulation, single ply is a light weight system which is great for layovers and retrofits.

ThermoPlastic Olefin (TPO) Roofing Systems

  • These provide both durability and security.
  • Its reflectivity and energy-efficiency features reduced cooling costs.
  • Available in varying thicknesses to meet specific requirements.

Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM)

  • Is black colored, also called rubber roofing
  • Can resist extreme temperatures
  • UV radiation and Ozone resistant
  • Requires minimal maintenance and is apt for commercial usage

Poly Vinyl Carbonate (PVC) Roofing Systems

  • Easy to install, contains complex engineered materials
  • Resistant to various chemical wastes, suitable for roofs that are exposed to harsh chemicals
  • Protect roofs from punctures and tears
